YOu can only add/subtract like terms: (4x³ + 5x²) + (-9x² + 4x). Only 5x² and -9x² are like terms. They can be added. The other terms remain the same: 4x³ 5x²+(-9x²)=.... 4x So the answer is 4x³ .... +4x What is 5x²+(-9x²) ?
