Do you think an achievement system in place would help with the SMARTSCORE system? For example, if you receive 100 fans, you will get +1 bonus to your SMARTSCORE, and so on.

wel, if that happened then when you hit 100 fans, you have 100 SS.

No, what I mean is every 100 fans you get, you get +1 to your SMARTSCORE. So, when you get 200 fans, you get another +1 SMARTSCORE point. It takes 100 * 100, or 10,000 fans to get 100 SMARTSCORE points.

That is right, an achievement system is not about popularity. Instead of using FANS as a factor, it would be based on medals received or other factors. So, if you receive 50 medals, that mark would give you +1 SMARTSCORE point, and so forth, depending on the achievement system in place. As for UP VOTE and DOWN VOTE, I think that would be best as a fun feature that does not impact your SMARTSCORE. This UP VOTE and DOWN VOTE would be on your profile, and also inter-linked with posts questions and responses. I hope this post clarifies everything.
