Two lenses(concave and convex) have same mass and and radii which will have greater moment of inertiawhen rotating about an axis perpendicular to the plane nad passing through the centre of mass?

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

the in second case (the convex lens) more of the mass is a shorter radius from the CM compared to in the concave lens

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Both have same radii..

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

i mean for the average volume element

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So convex will have greater moment of inertia

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

i dont think so
