Okay here is what the problem is here, first you don't have enough mods to help out with rules enforcement. To help this more mods need to be added, also there should be mods for each board and those for that board handles those issues only.. The other problem here, openstudy has many users on here, and making changes that seem to work for you is not the way run a board either. If there were mods for each mod and back-up mods to handle to smaller issues, than there would be a united front on this board. Making rules that only deal with part of the issues won't make the problem go away either.
Each board needs mods for that board, and handles those issues only. This is the biggest issue of you ask me, mods on here are being overloaded with issues and can not handle every issue. Please openstudy.com this site is here for students let us together make students want to come here..
So like: Admins = Control everything (including the site itself.) Super Moderators = Control everything in each group. Moderators = Control a specific group. Helpers/Ambassadors = Welcome new users.
yes that is what is needed
Sounds like a forum. :P
yes and that is what openstudy.com is failing at right now
Maybe, I'm not sure :P All I can tell you is there is need for a History group moderator. People just post links or copy and paste answers from other sources. And it's starting to bug me, took six days for a moderator to take care of it -_-.
@Preetha please read what is posted
that is what I am saying by mods being overloaded.
If openstudy.com would have the ranks you listed this board would be Awesome to be aprt of, as it is now it is nothing more than rules and mods very little enforcement to thosr rules.
@gemstonegirl what are your thoughts?
I agree. They should make a mod already :(
we used a group moderator system along time ago. The issue is that the other subjects do not have a dedicated "fan" base. You would have to find a person that wants to sit in a dark room all by themselves just waiting around in a lot of the subjects listed.
also, moderators do not curb misuse of this site. We can only clean up after an infraction has occured.
how doyou become a mod?
