On sounding tuning fork A with another tuning fork B of frequency 384 Hz, 6 beats are produced per second. After loading the prongs of A with wax and then sounding it again with B, 4 Beats are produced per second, What is the frequency of the tuning fork A?
@Mashy
i got 390 hz is it correct
@shubhamsrg
does frequency get reduced on waxing ?
Yup
hmm so beats inc when freq of A is reduced. So I guess ans should be 378 ? coz if after waxing, it'll reduce and no. of beats will inc
v2 = v1 + - m
Since on loading wax freq deacreses so m shuld be + ve is nt it ?
As far as I recall, doesn;t freq increase on waxing? :|
after waxing it will become heavier so freq decreases
i think so....i am not sure abt this

ok then... ThXXx
but , as mass inc, freq should dec, I guess you are not wrong, am confused! :P
Hm...Hm....Leave it , Its Getting too late...PLZ check my next question
well, it should decrease, you were right at the first place, but still then, ans should be 378
Why?
you are right.. its 390
ohh, of course, no.of beats decrease! sorry, my bad! :|
