The act of such mentioned causes you to exert effort and energy. While such act relieves stress, the drain needs to be complimented by additional relaxation, and euphoria. That is why your action to be smoking a cigarette would achieve that, hence the urge. Please note that your spelling of "ciggerate," is suppose to be spelled, "cigarette."
