HELP best answer gets medal: Graph the solutions for the system of linear inequalities. Describe the solutions. Either describe what the graph looks like (include slope, y-intercept, dotted or solid line, and if the shading is above or below the line), OR attach a scan or screen shot of a document with your graph to the answer box. y ≤ 2x + 1 y ≤ 2x – 4

Both are shaded below Both are solid lines Both: Slope=2 y-intercepts: 1 and -4

Darn! u beat to that answer :P

@SuckatSchool Happens to me all the time.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you do that i dont get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Slope= the number before x the y-int= the + or - after x Solid because it would be dotted if it was < > but this is how I think of it. If it's ≤ or the other one it's a solid line because of the solid line under the sign. And if you plug in 0 for x and y and it's true then the side that has (0,0) is shaded.

Thanks!

Ex. Point (0,0) y ≤ 2x + 1 0≤ 2(0) + 1 0≤0+1 0≤1 That's not true so the opposite side is shaded.
