Derivative answer form question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[J(v)=(v ^{3}-2v)(v ^{-4}+v ^{-2})\] I solved it and got \[6v ^{-4}+v ^{-2}+1\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can i leave it in this form or do i have to solve it using: \[\frac{ 1 }{v ^{4} }\] and the like

OpenStudy (phi):

it is fine the way it is, unless you have multiple choice and have to tweak it to match one of the choices

I see. thank you~ my book only gives the positive exponent form, i was worried this was wrong.
