PLEASE HELP!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I will give you a hint the angle 1 angle is 90 and other is 45 so third angle wil become 45 too that means the 2 sides become equal..you wil get w find x by pythagorus .. lol that's a big hint :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how would i find x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no not pythagorus just check,i forgot properties but the logic for w is correct 2nd 1 is easy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find the angles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see a line is of 180 degree then 180 -45 is angle opposite to 35

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's 135 another angle 35 then the last angle becomes 180 -170 =10 degre

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 10, 35, and 135 are the angles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but how do you use the angles to find side lengths?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

by sin cosine values I guess?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah but i dont know the other side length?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find the length of line making angle of 45 degree

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you know angles 45 45 and sides 5.5 and 5.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, and the other side would be 7.77 then right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would this be next? \[tang of 35 = 5.5/5.5+x\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes goood

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there was no requirement of calculating middle line, sorry you did good

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you, i think i got that one, what about the other?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let me see

OpenStudy (anonymous):

32, 90 that makes 3rd angle 180 - 122 =58

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and for x i got 1.42? im not sure thats right for the first one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, and i understand the second one, could i solve it and you check my answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

w = 2.64?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good <3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and angle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

30?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well its around 26 I guess?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you have to give answers in round figures go for 30

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont it says to the nearest angle so should i put 26?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it doesnt*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

calculate it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you have opposite side and hypotanius

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hypotenuse*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i did 3/6 which equals .5 and i did arc sinus and got 30

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2.64 was the side right? you took it as 3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it said to the nearest tenth so wouldnt it round up?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay then 3/6 =1/2 30 is right :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good job :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks :)
