My family has 2 dogs one of them is a Jack Russel named Jack, the other is a American Stanford Terrier aka a pitbull named Zeus. Jack is a very hyper dog but he loves to take a good nap time to time, but he stays up at night mostly. Zeus is always sleeping and he barks a lot but I don't really mind. Our family takes good care of our dogs it's really fun too. When I take jack for walks if he sees a Squirrel or a cat I have to chase after them for at least an hour! My friend has a dog thats mello and doesn't like nipping at your feet like my dog! The funniest part true story is that her dog is named Lacy and thats how we became good friends.

Mi familia tiene dos perros y uno de los perros es un Jack Russel que se llama Jack, el otro es un American Stanford Terrier o Pitbull que se llama Zeus. Jack es un perro muy hiperactivo pero le encanta dormir una siesta buena de vez en cuando y la mayor parte del tiempo permanece despierto por la noche. Zeus siempre esta durmiendo y ladra mucho pero no me importa. Mi familia tiene buen cuidado de nuestros perros y es muy divertido tambien. Cuando toma Jack para paseos, si ve una ardilla o un gato tengo que perseguir los por al menos una hora! Mi amigo tiene un perro que es relajado y no le gusta morder sus pies como un perro! La parte mas divertida, verdadera historia, es que su perro se llama Lacy y esto es como nos hicimos amigos buenos.

I am in the very first one I just started it and I didn't want to use translate because it isn't very reliable and I knew how to say some of the sentences but some of the words I used I don't know how to say yet.

You're right. Google Translate isn't reliable for entire sentences and paragraphs.

I'll tell you something though:
You CAN use it to translate SINGLE words, kind of like a Spanish dictionary.

You won't really be able to write a paragraph in English, and then translate it to Spanish,
because I bet you know a lot more English than Spanish.

Since you're in Spanish 1, you've probably just learned a few simple words and phrases. It'd be easier for you to just start a paragraph in Spanish.

You could say this.....

"En mi familia, hay dos perros, Jack y Zeus."
"In my family, there are two dogs, Jack and Zeus."
