The answer will be less than 99,999. 
98,654+3782 = 102346
However the odometer will restart at 99,999 so basically you need to treat this as your base point to count from (i.e 0). The answer will be 102346 - 99999 as this is one whole lot of 99999 miles you have gone and you now have to start again.
 Or (98654+3782)(mod 99999)
