CHECK this for me please. Fan and medal! :)
I feel like it's a trick question! None of the others were that easy!!!! lol
It's 26 in^2 not 52 in^2.
How did you get that?
There is two triangles. The area of the bigger one is (10 * 4) / 2 = 20 The area of the smaller triangle, well you have the base which is 3, but the height isn't given. You can use Pythagorean theorem to find the missing side and you get 4. So smaller triangle's area is (4 * 3) / 2 = 6. Therefore, the total area is 20 + 6 = 26 in^2 @KatieMoFo
Do you understand? Or would you like a more in-depth explanation? @KatieMoFo
Oh... Well, haha ok. I guess that makes since. Thanks :)
Np. But if you still feel reluctant, don't hesitate to ask. Just PM me if you require further assistance.
Btw, no medal/fan? lol @KatieMoFo
Just in case you still don't fully understand Remember the area of a triangle is 1/2 base times height you have 2 triangles here...both with the same height...but different bases one triangle has base 10...and the height 4 the other triangle has base 3 and the height 4 so 1/2(10)(4) is 1/2 of 40...which is 20 and 1/2(3)(4) is 1/2 of 12 ... which is 6 so 20 + 6 is 26 :)
Oh thank you so much!! Both of you!!! :D
anytime :)
