I have 3 points E(-1,2), F(2,6) and G(7,1). I need to determine the equations for the height, h(f).

Then I need to calculate the area of the triangle EFG.

Is there somebody, who could help.

use distance formulae to get sides, then cosine rule for angle, then height is simple

Method2:
use vectors to find angle, distances as above

Method3:
determinant to find area, distance of base. then use A=0.5*b*h to get height
