We know that 2^3 = 8, right? And 3^3 = 27 So we know that 15 is between 8 and 27 and is closer to 8 than 27. So the third root of 15 should be between 2 and 3 and should be closer to 2 than 3. So start trying some numbers. Do 2.1^3 and 2.2^3 and see which one is closer to 15.
