y = x^2 + 2x + 1 I just need to find the two x- intercepts. I solved it and received x = -1 for both I need some help.

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

welll lets see...using the quadratic formula we have \[-2 \pm \sqrt{2^{2} - 4(1)(1)} / 2(1)\] so -2 plus/minus 4-4 all over 2 -2 plus or minus 0 all over 2 ******************************************* \[\sqrt{b ^{2}-4ac}\] when this part = 0....there is ONLY 1 root....so there is ONLY 1 answer here...which you have :)

Ok thanks! @johnweldon1993
