5x^2-32x+12=
is -10 a answer?
\[5x^2-32x+12=\]
have you tried factoring it?
nope,,..
ohh i means yess
You need this to equal something in order to solve for x or you need an x to see what it equals.
Is this factoring?
solve for x
its like factoring diamod
(x-6)(5x-2)=? you can't solve x without it equaling zero or something.
okey thankx :)
\[6x^2+5x-4=\]
=(2x-1)(3x+4) Do you understand how to factor these?
5x^2-30x-2x=12 5X(X-6) -2(X-6) (5X-2) (X-6) X=2/5 and x=6
no.. u, u\
*5x^2-30x-2x+12 not equals 12 on the first row
@bangabus000 Thats technically incorrect, you can't bring over the 12 without knowing whats on the right side.
umm yeah... no i made an error while typing its plus 12 not equal
I'm just saying, you can't solve for x if the right side is missing. it could be 0 but it could also be 100 or anything for that matter.
ofcourse its 0 on the other side. i thought that was obvious since we were factoring.
the x values are correct right?
@chubbytots But using bangabus000's method, factoring by parts, is the best way to solve this type. @bangabus000 If it equals zero yes :)
hehehe :p
