i recommend C++ primer plus.

i have a paperback copy on my bookshelf. it's geared more for if you have programmed before (helpful if you've programmed in an OOP language, too)

Well i had a choice b/w C# and JAVA and I decided to pick C# although both of them are derived by C++ but C# is much better than Java.

Both of them are similiar to each other too just the syntax is diff so i can programme on Java later if i want to.
