can some please check my answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Factor completely: 18x2 − 21x − 15 i think the answer is 3(2x − 5)(3x + 1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the other choices are 3(2x + 1)(3x − 5) 3(2x + 1)(3x − 5) 3(2x − 1)(3x + 5) 3(6x + 1)(x − 5)

OpenStudy (mertsj):

That will not multiply back since (2x-5)(3x+1)= 6x^2-13x-5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so would it be the last choice?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be the last choice that was my second option

OpenStudy (mertsj):

When you get the 3 factored out you have 3(6x^2-7x-5) so you need to find two binomials that multiply back to 6x^2-7x-5

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Check the outer and inner. Which one adds up to -7x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3(2x + 1)(3x − 5) i think?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

yes. That's it!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you so much!

OpenStudy (mertsj):

yw
