Agricutural economics is all about microeconomic, and it focus more on the production economics i.e. on the producer theory. Economics in general focus more on macroeconomics. All in all it is all economics, but agricultural economists do their research in agriculture field. I am an Ag-Econ student and all of my courses in Economic department, same courses same analysis, just we have different applications of economic models.
