My biology book asked me to write an operational definition for finding the mass of an object. Could someone please help me with this? Thanks.

Hi! Do you understand what an operational definition is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, not really.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's perfectly fine. :) An operational definition is a definition that explains how to make/create the thing being defined. That may not make whole lot of sense yet, but hopefully it will once I give an example: The operational definition of a book is this: "the result of placing sewn or bound pages in between two covers." Does that make sense?
