OpenStudy (jkbo):

write a rule for the nth term of the following sequence the find a^6 6,-30,150,-750

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Seems like a geometric sequence. So it has the form \[ a_n = a_1r^{n-1} \]Seems it starts at \(-30\), so \(a_1 = -30\). We can find \(r\) by using this fact \[ r=\frac{a_{n+1}}{a_n} \]

OpenStudy (jkbo):

thank you but im not sure on how to solve that

OpenStudy (jkbo):

@wio

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is \[ \frac{150}{-30} \]?

OpenStudy (jkbo):

@wio -5?
