how do i memorize perfect squares

OpenStudy (dean.shyy):

Perfect squares are just numbers multiplied by itself to get a product. As long as you remember this rule, you do not have to memorize individual perfect squares. Remember, perfect squares are always whole numbers and never decimals. For example, z * z is z^2. The perfect square variable is just z. Same goes for 2 * 2 = 4. To find out what the perfect square of 4 is, it is just 2.
