A business reports a net income of –$2730 over a 3-month period. What is the average income per month for that period? A. $8190 B. $910 C. –$910 D. –$8190
divide the net income by 3
\[-\frac{2730}{3}\]
910
soo... c
yup. from wikipedia: Suppose we have sample space \(\{a_1,\ldots,a_n\}\). Then the arithmetic mean \(A\) is defined via the equation\[A=\frac{1}{n}\sum_{i=1}^{n} a_i\]This just means if you want to take the average of n values you add them all together and divide by n
-910 so the answer is C... Not so complicated, richyw
oh ok
@SingleSixxs_Fiance I never said it was complicated? I answered it in one line and it's kind of hard to "follow" one line of math so I explained what I was doing.
@richyw I was just saying you took many unnecessary steps to answer this question. Not saying you are wrong, rather their is an easier way to find the answer.
which step was unnecessary? was it doing the division or was it matching the solution to the multiple choice letter? This question takes one step.
Sorry for this misunderstanding.
i think perhaps the last person to post thought the math formula for the mean was a bit fearsome - they are a bit
