Determine the type of boundary line and shading for the graph of the inequality y less than or greater to 2x + 4 Dashed boundary line with shading on the side that includes the origin. Solid boundary line with shading on the side that does not include the origin. Dashed boundary line with shading on the side that does not include the origin. Solid boundary line with shading on the side that includes the origin.

check the inequality statement you wrote... "y less than or greater to 2x + 4" this does not make sense....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

<=

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\large y \le2x+4 \) anytime you have a strict inequality (one without the "or equal to"), the boundary will be dashed.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since this inequality is a "less than or equal to", the boundary line is SOLID.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So is the answer B?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

IF this is true, then yes.... plug in the origin into to the inequality: \(\large y \le 2x+4 \) \(\large \color {red}0 \le 2\color{red} {( 0)}+4 \) ???? is this true?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the above is true, then it INCLUDES the origin.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So its D instead because it is ture.
