So you know that the area of a square or rectangle is base * height (b*h for short) right? and you know that a square has all equal sides right? So we can re-write the formula as Base * Base (b*b for short) (or height * height it doesn't matter). Which can also be written as b^2. so in this equation what is b?

correct so b^2 is (2x-1)^2. Now set up your expressions and multiply using the FOIL method. You can draw it out step by step, if you want, on here and I'll make sure you're doing it correctly
