Notice that kite is made of 4 triangles. Find area for each triangle then add them all together.

Or you could just find the area of the two on the right/left side of it and multiply that by two. same concept though.

And here is the formula for the area of a kite. A=1/2d(1)d(2).. If that makes sense... But the idividual triangles is easier.
