OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Please help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know the volume formula for a cylinder?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, just help me with the cone, first!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well the volume of the cone is 1/3 the volume of that same cylinder...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so that means. . .?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just take the volume of the cylinder and multiply it by 1/3 (or divide by 3) to get the volume of the cone

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THANK YOU SO MUCH! you want the volume of the cylinder I'm guessing now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no.... that is how these two are related.. if you want the volume of a cone, just take the volume of the cylinder (with the same base and height) and divide by 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, well I know how to do it now, I just thought you wanted to know the area for your homework. Thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yw... :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Bye!
