well the volume of the cone is 1/3 the volume of that same cylinder...

so that means. . .?

just take the volume of the cylinder and multiply it by 1/3 (or divide by 3) to get the volume of the cone

no.... that is how these two are related..
if you want the volume of a cone, just take the volume of the cylinder (with the same base and height) and divide by 3
