I need help with a few things I have been tasked with creating a fun/ somewhat easy science project for a 5th grader. I know this is not a question but if you have any ideas I am open to them.

um you could explain how fluorescence works with a few lasers (laser pointers) of different colours (energies) and bunch of fluorescent markers and some glasses.

or, you could precipitate a "carbon tower" out of some sugar (this requires acid though).

or, you could talk about cosmic radiation using a cheap geiger counter (they cost about $10 on ebay).
