A company produces widgets and find it should make a profit of P(x)= -.15x^2+180x-25,000 dollars per month when x widjets are sold. Compute the difference quotient (P(x+h)-P(x))/h. Take values of h that get closer and closer to zero to determine the limiting value of this quotient as h -->0. (Economists refer to this value as the marginal profit. It approximates the change in the profit if one additional unit is sold.)
