OpenStudy (e.cociuba):

1.) If f(x)= -4/3x + 5 and g(x)= x^2 - 3x - 5, find.... a.) x when f(x) = -9

OpenStudy (mertsj):

f(x) contains no x. How are we supposed to find it?

OpenStudy (e.cociuba):

Opps hold on... :))

OpenStudy (e.cociuba):

There I fixed it...

OpenStudy (mertsj):

\[-9=\frac{-4x}{3}+5\]

OpenStudy (mertsj):

1. Subtract 5 from both sides 2. Multiply both sides by 3 3. Divide both sides by -4

OpenStudy (e.cociuba):

Ok so I got 21/2. Is tht correct?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

yes

OpenStudy (e.cociuba):

Ok. Thanks alot! I appreciate it!

OpenStudy (mertsj):
