Which is the more popular food in France? Bread or cheese

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

Weird question, I think. Which one do you think French people might be more likely to eat at breakfast, lunch and dinner?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They eat bread and cheese at breakfast lunch and dinner

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

No, the traditional French breakfast does not contain cheese, but does have bread, butter and jam.

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

Besides, bread is eaten with whatever other food you eat except dessert.

Ok well the french lunch and dinner contain cheese usually so i guess that it is bread then. Thanks for the help:)

Having lived in Paris for several years, I can tell you that it is bread. Hearty bread, Pastry bread, White bread, any bread. It's consumed in basically every meal of the day, though Breakfast and Dinner are considered the "light" meals, and Lunch is the feast.

I believe both are very popular, as both are complimented at meals.

...I do believe that the question has been solved multiple times, no need to post the same answer on a five day old question.
