The energy used to move against a force is the magnitude of that force times the distance moved. The energy you use to move against gravity is equal to the increase in gravitational potential energy. The force of gravity on the surface of the Earth is approximately mg \[g = 9.8 m/s^2\] I presume you know how to convert centimeters to meters.

So I don't understand how to do this still. 100cm= 1 meter 50cm= 0.50 meters 25cm= 0.25 meters
