A solution contains 8 pints of aantifreeze and 11 pints of water. How many pints of water must be added to 32 pints of antifreeze to geta solution with the same concentration?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

well..this is a ratio problem 8 : 11 is the ratio of antifreeze to water so if you have 32 pints of water...you are quadrupling the anitfreeze number right? so to keep the same concentration...you would also quadruple the water number so 32 : 44 meaning 44 pints of water to keep the concentration the same
