solve 1/x+2/9=1/3 if you could show me how you do it instead of just giving me the answer that would be great :)

Multiply all terms by the common denominator 9x. This will cancel all denominators.

you can do things that don't change the equation. so, you can multiply the first fraction by 9/9 (9/9 is one and 1*anything doesn't change it) and you can multiply the 2nd fraction by x/x (same reason) this gives you a common denominator, so you can add the tops of the 2 fractions. or, you can multiply both sides of the equation by 9x. (that means multiply every term by 9x) this also keeps the equation equal.
