The area of a regular octagon is 50 cm2. What is the area of a regular octagon with sides three times as large?

Any two regular octagons are similar. The square of the scale factor of the two regular octagons is the ratio of the areas.
Directrix (directrix):
The scale factor for these two octagons is 1 to 3 or (1/3). (1/3)² = 50/A where A is the area of the second octagon. Cross multiply and solve for A. @mossyoakd
