since this path borders a square garden, we essentially have 4 rectangles that make up the area of the path. two are 28 ft long (length of the garden[24] + width of path) and two are 29 feet long (width of garden) the area of a square or rectangle is length times width, so your path will be 2(4x28)+2(4x29)
