A local fair has a ferris wheel with a diameter of 90 meters. The top of the ferris wheel is 200 meters above the ground. If the origin of the rectangular coordinate system is the point on the ground directly below the center of the wheel, find the equation of the ferris wheel in standard form.

OpenStudy (anikhalder):

Centre of wheel is (0,155) {As, top most point is (0,200) and radius is 45 So, centre should be (0,155) } Draw the diagram to verify. Equation of the ferris wheel:- \[x ^{2}+(y-155)^{2}=45^{2}\]
