It is a free course, but you must supply your own supervision for the most part.  It costs nothing, though you put in the effort and install everything on your own computer.

I was going to but I think Saylor.org Computer Science is better. You can check it out at http://www.saylor.org/majors/computer-science/ It also costs nothing, but I find it easier.
