I'm going to take the ACT soon, do you guys have tricks for the TI-84 Plus to help me on the math portion of the ACT? Like logs? Thanks. If you don't have any, that's fine. I just want to save time.

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

what do you mean tricks? there are basically buttons for everything....i know because i have the same calculator....so what exactly would you mean by tricks? example?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Matrices, Logs, Absolute values, like shortcuts so I don't have to waste time figuring it out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks but I know how to do math. I just need shortcuts. Thanks for the offer though.

Don't rely much on your calculator..sometimes it slows you down rather than helping you..when you find questions where you can plug in the answer(where the answer are pure nos.) or where it has to deal with decimals you can use your calculator. For logs and trigonometric values..yep your calculator will help..but for simple calculations rely on your maths skills and master your fractions' skills..trust me it helps a lot
