well you know that you cannot combine ...say...an x^2...with any other number other than another x^2 right? same for "x's" and just normal numbers....
in your case
you can combine 6x² - 8x²....what is 6 - 8?
you can combine 8x and -2x....what is 8 - (-2)?
and you can combine -4 and -35...what is -4 - (-35)?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so whats the answer
OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):
you'll receive the answer when you do the steps...
you can combine 6x² - 8x²....
what is 6 - 8?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so would it be -2x^2+10x+31
OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):
correct
