calculate the circumference and area of the shaded! https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BF3_sFOCEAAeXN3.png

The formula for calculating to arc length for a sector is: \[\frac{ x }{360}\times 2\pi r\] And the formula for calculating arc length for a sector is: \[\frac{ x }{360}\times \pi r^2\]

Where the radius is r and x is the angle.

so first i think that you need calculi area of circle with radius 10 cm and like step 2. area of circle with radius 6 cm what you get subtracting 4 from 10 ,hope that is clearly sure can you calculi it ?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

1. area circle with radius 10 cm = 100*3,14 = 314 cm^2 2. area circle with radius 6 cm = 36*3,14 = 113,04 cm ^2 3. in case of step 1. you can writing that for 360 degree there is area of 314 cm^2 so than for 72 degree suppose x 360 ---- 314 72 --- x -------------- x= 314*72 /360 =62,8 cm^2 4. in case of step 2. you can writing that for 360 degree there is 113,04 cm^2 area so than for 72 degree there is x 360 ----- 113,04 72 ------ x ----------------- x=113,04*72/360 = 22,6 cm^2 so after this you need just subtracting 22,6 cm^2 from 62,8 cm^2 and will get the area of the shaded so what will be 62,8 - 22,6 = 40,2 cm^2 hope so much that is understandably sure right and easy good luck bye
