find the absolute maximum and the absolute minimum of F on the interval (-1,2) f(x)=top(X^3+x^2+3x+1)bottom x=1

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Your numerator has problems. Is 'X' the same as 'x'? Your denominator has problems. Is that 'x - 1'?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea and is x+1

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Okay, what's your plan? How do you feel about the behavior of this Rational Function around x = 1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no is x+1 in the bottom
