Any ideas?
I understand i have been trying to worked out a few answers but i am getting confused a certain ones

We have to rearrange the terms first.
Welcome to OpenStudy! Okay. So lets start from the basics. We can take this one side at a time. 7+15s-1=5s+114-2s Lets break it into two sides so that its not sooo confusing Side 1: 7+15s-1 Simplify that for me please?
combine the LIKE terms..
\(7 - 1 + 15s = 5s - 2s + 114\)
Solve for the blue ones first : \(\color{blue}{7-1} + 15s = \color{blue}{5s-2s}+114\)
6+15s=3s+114
Great work. So now transpose 3s to left hand side, can you do that?
:/ is that what u mean sheldon
is it 6+12s+114
or just subtract 3s both sides : \(6 + 15s - 3s = 3s + 114 -3s\) \(\color{blue}{15s-3s} + 6 = \color{blue}{3s-3s} + 114 \) Solve for blue ones.
and thank you @karatechopper for telling me like terms
Try it again @skburton0413
Lol your welcome! I will leave it up to @SheldonEinstein to continue his teaching.
@kc sorry that I interrupted you ..
No no! Its completely okay!! Continue!!
@skburton0413 can you solve for the blue ones above?
12s+6=0+114 please don't get mad if I'm like dead wrong
Excellent! Now we have : \(12s + 6 = 114\) Subtract 6 both sides : \(12s + \color{blue}{6 -6 } = \color{blue}{114 - 6}\) Solve for blue ones again
12s+0=108
12s=108
Divide both sides by 12 now.
s=9
That's it.
ahhh thank u
