A clothes dryer having a wattage of 5,000 watts is used for 25 hours each month. How many kilowatt hours of electricity does the dryer use in a month's time?
how many hours in a month?
umm.. I'm not sure.. :/
@hexagon001 How do I find that multiply 24 by.. 30 or 31?
scratch what i have said...
let me rephrase the question for you..so it is clear
if 5000 watts are used for 25 hours in a month then how many KILOWATT HOURS are used in a month?
So would I multiply 5,000 by 25? and get 125,000?
@hexagon001
thats watt hours though. you need to convert it to KILOWATTS
ok so.. then I would multiply by months?
you have the answer125,000 WATTSHOUR. the only thing you need to do now is convert the watt hour to kilowatt hour use this: 1000 WATTS =1KILOWATT
divide 125,000 by 1000. then you will get the kilowhatt hour
so then you get 125 Thank you! :D
yes.
Thank you for all your help, :)
my pleasure
