Stewart has two books in his back pack. If one book weighs 4 pounds 4 ounces and one book weighs 3 pounds 13 ounces, what is the total weight of the two books?

In this case, the total weight is teh weight of both of the books. Thus, you simply add the two weights together, but only use the proper numbers and weights (13 OUNCES + 4 OUNCES)
