What is the radius of a circle in which a 30° arc is 2π inches long? A.) 24 inches B.) 12 inches C.) 2(radical over a three) inches

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lenth of arc=radius*angle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

12 inches

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your angle should be in radian

OpenStudy (anonymous):

convert iy @kausarsalley

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could you go into detail how you got the answer though? I am so lost

OpenStudy (anonymous):

30 degrees= pi/6 radians

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now 2pi=pi/6*r

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divide pi from both the sides now calculate it and u get r=12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you get 6 radians?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I thought it was pi times 2π on that one side, and I am clueless how it turns into 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you though!
