What is the area of the region enclosed by the graphs of f(x)=x-2x^2 and g(x)=-5x? I know that I must take the integral from 0 to 3 but is it x-2x^2-(-5x) or -5x-x+2x^2? And how should I find out which subtracts which?

Work out both integrals first, then just subtract which ever value is smaller from the larger one. You cannot have a negative area, so if you think about it like so, If\[a-b=c\]Then doing it 'the other way round' you get \[b-a=-c\] Either way, it does not matter, the number c is the same and disregard the sign in front of it. Hope that this helped:)
