i have to find what x equals

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when you have an equation what you do to one side you have to do to boith. you want x by itself. so you divide by 5 to get it to 1. 1x=x and then you divide 25 by 5.

there is always an understood 1 in front of a variable.

the answer is -5 though
