Just want to make sure: Are the opposite angles for a kite equal?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

OpenStudy (waheguru):

So they are equal?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Well... your answer is already in both of the posts above. Luis rivera's post actually has it on the picture.

OpenStudy (waheguru):

It states one pair of opposite angles are equal. Does that mean the other pair of opposite angles are not equal. That doesn't make sense because they have to be equal when looking at the shape of a kite. I was confused thats why I asked wether they were equal or not?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Have a look at the picture i drew above. Do the top and bottom angles look equal?

OpenStudy (waheguru):

no?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

no? do they look equal, or not?

OpenStudy (waheguru):

Its a drawing but I think they are not equal

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

|dw:1364094367895:dw| What about this one? Do the left and right angles look equal?

OpenStudy (waheguru):

No

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

There you go :) only one pair are equal.

OpenStudy (waheguru):

That is a kite right?

OpenStudy (waheguru):

btw Thanks for your patience and help it really clarified my confusion

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Yeah, it's a kite, the tail just got cut off. I was just drawing it kinda extreme to make the angles obvious.
