In the pair of similar trapezoids, what is the length of side DA? 15 cm 30 cm 45 cm 60 cm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

trapezoid

OpenStudy (goformit100):

60 cm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks so how did you get that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

set it up as a proportion.

OpenStudy (stamp):

@Joshuam1 The polygons are similar, so DA matches to HE, etc. How much larger is one side to another side? The top bar of each polygon is 20 cm to 60 cm, so the larger polygon is three times as large as the smaller one. HE is 15 cm, and DA is three times as large as the smaller side HE. 15 cm * 3 = 45 cm

OpenStudy (dj3strella):

60 is wrong 45 is right
